Making calls

Making an outgoing call with 3CXPhone for Android

To make a call, simply dial the number on the keypad. Click the green button with the handset to dial the number. The button with the handset will turn red once the call is connected. Click on it again to hang up the call.

Answering calls

Answering an Incoming call from 3CXPhone for Android

As soon as a call comes in, 3CXPhone will ring, bring the phone to the front and show the incoming call on the screen of the phone. To answer the call, click on the green handset button. To reject the call, click on the red handset button. The caller will be treated as if your phone was busy. If your 3CXPhone is connected to 3CX Phone System, the forwarding settings for ‘Call Busy’ will be triggered.

Hold/Resume

Bottom Left icon will put this current call on hold

To put a call on hold, simply press the Hold button whilst on a connected call.
When the Hold button is pressed, you will see the status “OnHold” on the display.
Click the Resume button to resume the call.

Transferring calls

3CXPhone for Android allows you to easily transfer calls.

  1. Whilst on a call, tap the transfer button (bottom right button) and enter the number you want to transfer the call to. In this example we are going to transfer a call from Emily White to extension 116
  2. Click on the Dial button (the green button) to finalize the transfer.
  3. You will notice that a call is initiated to this extension. When the extension (in this case 116) answers the call, the transfer will be completed.
  4. You can also cancel the transfer operation and return to your previous call

Switching between accounts

If you have multiple connections, you can switch to another profile as follows

  1. Click on the options button
  2. Select Profiles
  3. Tap on the green line on the left hand side to select the account you want to use
  4. You will automatically be taken to the main screen and the phone will register with this account. The top right corner will contain the Account Name.
  5. You can switch from Earpiece to Speaker mode by clicking on Earpiece and vice versa.
