- Phonebook “+” to 00 – This replaces the + prefix for international calls to the international dialing code you configure.
- Phonebook prefix – this is the prefix that will be added to calls redialed from call history. This should be the prefix of the outbound rule of your PBX System. Default is empty.
Network
- Local SIP Port: This is the local sip port that will be used by the 3CXPhone for iPhone to send out SIP traffic.
- First RTP Port: This is the first port that will be used for Audio.
- TCP transport: Should be enabled for providers that support SIP over TCP
- NAT Helper: This is a module to help bypass NAT issues however will not work behind all firewalls. To bypass NAT issues Configure 3CXPhone for iPhone to work with 3CX VoIP Tunnel in Out of office mode
Audio Options
Audio Codecs
3CXPhone supports 5 codecs. These are GSM, G.711 (aLaw), G.711 (uLaw), G722 (HD) and Speex. Whilst G722 (HD) gives you the highest quality, it also consumes the most bandwidth. Therefore you may configure your codec priority such that GSM will be used first if available. However if you have bandwidth, you should go for G722 or PCMU/PCMA so the quality of the audio phonecall will be high. To change codec priority simply move the preferred codecs right and less used once to the left. To disable a codec completely use the on/off switch.
