Sometimes a user may wish to have a professionally-created greeting message for his VoiceMailBox, rather than create it from his phone handset or headset.
When a user wants to create a greeting message for his VoiceMailBox, all he needs to do is log into his VoiceMailBox, press “9″ for options, and then press “8″ to change his greeting message. When he saves his greeting message, 3CX PhoneSystem will save this to:
C:\ProgramData\3CX\Data\Ivr\Voicemail\Data\xxx\savevmgreeting.wav (for Windows 7/2008)
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\3CX\Data\Ivr\Voicemail\Data\xxx\savevmgreeting.wav (for Windows XP/2003)
…where “xxx” is the Extension Number for the user.
You can simply replace this file with the professionally created alternative to achieve your need.
Please make sure that the audio file is in the supported format:
- 8000 Hz
- WAV format
…and that you use the same identical filename “savevmgreeting.wav”.
