The VAD addition sounds awesome! I was already trying to create something similar with .NET code and the 3CX API. This makes it a lot easier. Thanks guys. Keep it up with this great product!
I just read in the VAD manual that it requires a valid license key. Does anyone know if this will work with the demo license key? I hope so, since I don’t have a key for my test/dev lab.
Thanks for your nice feedback!
This (below from tech support) sounds like I need to become a template modifying expert just to have updates saved whenever a phone’s setting menu is modified.
“A change to the phone interface is separate to the provisioning and loses the change at reboot is by Polycom design for provisioning. You will need to effect changes to the template to get what you require. Hence you will need to understand the Polycom variables and the template system.
Thanks”
If you are going to provision phones automatically with the template provided, and you want to make changes to the provisioning of those phones, then indeed you have to change the template in the system. The template is the same file as the phone configuration file, so it should really not be hard. You are just editing the phone setting in the wrong place.
Alternatively don’t provision the phone and rely on configuration via its web interface. The choice is yours.
