@Matt,thanks for the question. Nothing has changed regarding this. SBC on the Pi makes good use of resources.

  3. This is one of my favorite features of 3CX that no other phone system has taken the effort to do. Some sites have router issues, ISPs blocking ports, double Nat, and the list goes on. The 3CX SBC is a life line to get rid of the problems and make remote VoIP phones just work.

I’m especially excited about the auto reconnection with this update.

    Way to go team 3CX

How will the new fail-over option work? If we use the SBC for a client whose phones are connected to a PBX at for example PBX IP address of 1.1.1.1 and that PBX would fail, would the SBC automatically point the phones to PBX IP address of 2.2.2.2?

@Jeff The SBC it will automatically connect to the failover IP . The phones will not notice that change.

How many simultaneous calls can be handled with an SBC on a Raspberry Pi?

    April 1, 2016 at 7:47 pm
    • Charalambos Eleftheriou

@Jamie, We recommend no more than 5 IP Phones behind an SBC on a Raspberry Pi therefore 5 simultaneous calls.

@Charalambos Eleftherios: Thank you for the quick reply. Is there documentation on what hardware and software to use for specific customer cases? For example: a customer with 64 concurrent calls and 200+ extensions.
