Silicon Valley Microsoft Gold Partner looks at various PBX options and opts for 3CX VOIP Phone SystemCoyote Creek Consulting finds in 3CX a cost-effective, easy to install and maintain IP PBX solution
Coyote Creek Consulting (www.coyotecrk.com) is a privately owned IT consulting firm based in Silicon Valley. The company is a Microsoft Gold Partner that provides consulting and professional IT services in the use and implementation of Microsoft server infrastructure and Microsoft technologies. Consequently, when they were faced with the task to implement their own phone system, they knew exactly what they were looking for, and they found it in 3CX VOIP Phone System.
Faster implemented the Free edition of 3CX Phone System himself and found it extremely simple to install, although he is not an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Service Engineer). “The 3CX system was easy to get and very easy to install. The administrative GUI is clean and uncomplicated, making it easy to add and manage extensions, lines and gateways. We have enjoyed being able to add extensions for our remote staff so that they can receive voicemails and then have them sent via email to their Outlook client.” Faster and his team use the auto attendant feature to handle all inbound phone calls and have built a basic dial by name capability, as well as, a menu for their Sales Department. The 26 engineers and staff at Coyote Creek use mobile phones as the primary means to communicate amongst themselves and with their customers. In the past, their landlord provided a phone system which had an auto attendant with only a few options and extensions configured for the IT consultancy firm. Nowadays, with 3CX Phone System for Windows all employees have an extension, and inbound callers can leave voicemails which get sent to each engineer’s email box. “The company is making great savings on phone call costs and the engineers can listen to their voicemail from their Outlook mailbox anywhere and anytime, even on an airplane!” says Faster.
The 3CX Phone System at Coyote Creek is working with a total of 4 PSTN lines and 1 VOIP, their VOIP gateways are GrandStream GXW-4104 and Patton SN4114, and they have six Cisco-7970 phones. The firm has plans to add two more PSTN lines and one more VOIP within the next year, and have already easily configured two Grandstream phones for future use. “The cost of six handsets and 26 extensions in our old office situation would have been prohibitive”, comments Faster. “We are glad to see that Coyote Creek Consulting, a fellow Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, is enjoying the main benefits that 3CX Phone System has to offer: increase in staff mobility, ease of use and administration and CRM integration” says Nick Galea, CEO at 3CX. “The 3CX phone system is a great Windows based PBX solution for our company. It is a cost-effective solution which is easy to install and maintain” agrees Mike Faster. |
