1 - We would like to have some sort of grouping for outgoing permissions.
The current way works, but is a bit messy in a large environment. If we had the ability to set up 4 (or more) groups. Then each extension would simply have to be assigned a group.
Example of 4 groups (Each group then would then be set up in outgoing call rules)
Group 1 – No restriction
Group 2 – Regular long distance, no overseas etc
Group 3 – Local calls only
Group 4 – Only internal extensions.

2 - To have the music on hold bring in audio from the Aux in port of the sound card.
We have customers that have PC’s or private satellites that generate the audio for them that are always updated with current sales etc. We have no way on 3CX to bring this audio in.

3 – Ability to record digital receptionist messages using the phone. Possibly there is already a way. We have not found it.

2- A program like audigy can record the aux input from the sound card and convert it to a .wav file that can be used as on-hold music.

Not convenient, but it works.

I would say that what your looking for is to have 3CX pick up "streaming audio" from a sound card to use as on-hold music. This would allow for radio stations etc. to be used as hold music as well. This is a common feature in other systems.

3 - The main attendant greeting can be created by leaving yourself a voice mail message, then uploading the resulting .wav file to the attendant. This is actually pretty easy. To change individual mail box greetings, just follow the voice mail prompts when you call in. I think it's press 9 for more options, then press 8 to change your greeting.

I require MOH audio 'real time' so the converter would not work. But thanks for the idea.

I did think of using the voicemail option to record audio files for the receptionist. Its just not professional looking.

You want COS (class of service) levels which has been a standard feature of most larger PBXs for years.
