3CX Hardphone Issue

Postby impaddy » Fri Jun 03, 2011 10:24 am

Been playing round with 3CX for a little while now and we are at the point ready to implement it if it was not for this issue. Dialling in and out of the network using soft-phones is not an issue, that works perfectly.
Once a hard phone is connected and configured, it connects to the PBX registers and you can make calls to it no problem, the issue comes when you attempt to dial any number on the network I just receive what sounds like a fast busy tone.

The phone I am using is a Cisco SPA501G, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

without looking into the phones configuration this shoulds like a phone dial plan issue.

Did you set the phone up manually or via 3cx provisioning?

I set it up manually, it doesn't make sense to me as soft phones work fine!

Also, Wiresharking returns errors like "406 Not Acceptable" & "407 Proxy Authentication Required".

Thanks in Advance

Ok.

Could you reset the phone back to its defaults?

then use this guide to set the phone up http://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/Cisco-SPA.html

once done, test and let us know if that then works for you.
