Not a crisis but the Server Public IP address field should use DNS and allow for a host name entry.

I have some small customers that even in this day and age won't spring for the extra 5 bucks a month for a static on DSL or are held hostage by our local cable company that charges a fortune for a static.

It does allow for a hostname. What issues are you seeing?

I am running version 8.0.9674, grabbed of the 3cx website on Monday, and when I key a host name in the "Server Public IP Address" field and click save I get:

SipProxyManager
Invalid IP Address.
IP Address must be a valid Unicast IP address (0.0.0.0 - 223.255.255.255).

Did I end up with an old verson?

Whoops. I was referring to the 3CX Assistant not the Proxy Manager. My apologies.
