A forwarding only extension

Postby oliverm » Tue Jan 17, 2012 5:42 pm

Hi

I want to set up an extension for a travelling sales man here so that the internal users can forward calls for him to extension xxx and have it forward to his mobile.

I've got the extension set up in 3cx with his mobile and got it set to Out of Office and set his forwarding to use his mobile. However when we try to forward to that extension or call it we get "Extension not found anywhere".

Do we have to attach a physical phone to the system for that extension in order to get it registered?

Have you looked into setting up the 3CX softphone instead of a hardphone for the extension that will be forwarded to the salesman's mobile?

Please provide log of the call.
It should explain situation.

Did you try putting the number in (call forwarding) under "If my phone is busy or unregistered"?
