backing up a callflow

Postby SWSDEV » Fri Jul 09, 2010 5:26 pm

With version 9, wil IVRs backed up with the backup tool now successfully restore? Or will you have to re-deploy a VAD IVR after someone runs a restore from the backup/restore tool?

Hi,

The latest build solves that issue. Check the release notes here:

Awesome.

So I could get a backup copy of a system and always deploy on the local development machine, and then backup again and it could be redeployed to the production machine through a restore.

Yes, but be careful because you would be restoring everything, not just the VAD callflow. So, for example if you create an extension in the production environment, you could restore a system from development where the extension has not been created, you will be deleting the new extension from production...

There's a great potential feature then. Being able to restore just that extension.

Or more simply put, if the backup/restore tool could restore in APPEND mode to 3cx.

Yes, that would be a useful feature to have in 3CX!
