Call pickup *20* does not work on linksys SPA

Postby rodster » Thu Mar 18, 2010 7:55 pm

The call pickup feature *20* does not work on linksys media gateways (SPA 2102 and SPA 3102). According to the 3CX manual, pressing *20* should retrieve the call from any ringing extension. However, any phone connected to Linksys spa's generates a busy tone after pressing asterisk-two-zero (doesn't reach the last asterisk, immediately the busy tone is played). Seems that *20 migth be a reserved key in linksys? any help in making call pickup work in linksys spa's that's connected to 3CX?

Help please? Thanks.

You may need to "tweak" the dialplan in the Linksys device to allow that particular string.

Exactly,

The default dial plan will contain only a *xx plan, meaning any star codes that do not match that format will not work.

So you need to alter *xx to have as many Xs as a dial plan plus your extension length (i.e. *9211 to page 211 would need *xxxx) and then add a new provision between two | (pipes) the following:

*xx*

This will enable this dial code.

You can either manually do this to all phones or edit your 3CX template.
