This is a new thread, intended to draw attention to the "recording future" thread at
recording-future-1992-15.html?sid=3f3b8eea9db06baf94289b7c2d7852f4#p19815

3CX Team, please consider placing high priority on:

1. Server-side call recording that is INDEPENDENT of which SIP phones are in use.
2. Changing the codec for voice mail files so that they are much smaller (and use this codec for recordings also).

These are badly needed features to be competitive in the business space.

Point 1 and Point 2 are very much needed. I get this query on a daily basis.

We use to sell Trixbox installations, but are trying to move away from asterisk based PBX systems.
When a client needs/demands call recording we install Trixbox as an only option
