Digital Receptionist - Take back call

Postby colin2710 » Mon Jan 14, 2008 8:40 pm

Hi there,

One feature we would like is - when a client presses say "1" during a digital receptionist call and the call I forwarded to an external number (via a PSTN or VOIP provider) if the call is not answered within a specified time, then it is taken back and sent to voicemail or any other option.

I thought that 3CX could do this, so I posted a question about this on the forum, but did not get a satisfactory answer. I suppose this is NOT possible at the moment (unless you can me other wise). If this can't be done - then I would like this to considered as a feature to be added to the next version of 3CX.

Many thanks - your doing well - Regards Colin

I imagine you can do it if you set up an extension always transfer to an outside number.
You juste have to record your message saying "if you want to be trnsfert to the mobile of Mr T press 4 (4 is the extension always transfer to the outside number)

Hi there,

No that's NOT what we want.

After the call has been sent to an extension and that extension forwards the call to an external telephone number, if that number is NOT answered in say 15 seconds, then the call is taken back by 3CX and sent to voice mail. I think you have misread my post.

Any comments anyone?

if the extenal number don´t take the call you get a transfer faild and be back in the menue so just add a menue point voicemail to it and if the transfer fails he can leave a message.

outside to DR

DR ask 1 cellphone 2 voicemail

timeout back to DR

-----------------------------------------
or
outside to DR promts you will be transfered to mobil phone (no options)
timeout1 to RingGroupe with prep. ext alwaysforward to mobile
on no answer to voicemail extension of your choice.

Hi there,

I am sorry, but I don't understand - the only way to transfer a call is to send it to an extension (from the Digital Receptionist) and send the call from that extention to an outside line. I then want to get the external call to ring for 15 seconds and if not answer, return it to 3CX to say voice mail.

I don't understand:

Quote

if the extenal number donßt take the call cu get a transfer faild and be back in the menue so just add a menue point voicemail to it and if the transfer fails he can leave a message.

Can you elaborate please.

Regards - Colin
