External PSTN Gateway.

when creating an external PSTN gateway there should be an option to change the Codec priorities.

Hello sir
The codec to be used is decided between a gateway and a phone during initial call setup during SDP negotiation between the 2 parties. This is because with most gateways you wouldn't configure them as "bound to media server" and when media server is not involved in the call,then Phone System doesn't have a say on which codec is supposed to be used. BUT since gateways and phones are local devices, this can easily be configured on the devices themselves.
Please feel free to correct me If I am missing the scope of your suggestion.
