I haven't tried it myself so I could be wrong but I believe 888 is the FAX extension. If you add a provider or gateway with a dedicated number answered only by 888 (providing data rate capable) you should have the ability to use v5 FAX.

888 is the default Fax extension, you could do a blind transfer to that extension if you receive a fax call.

Happy New Year.

The embedded fax ext. (888) is recive only at the moment.

You can use a dedicated ext routed to fax gateway, but a problem could be the detection of fax call routing it there.
If you have a specified fax tel.number its easyer. Just route it directly.

Thanks for all the replies.

I tried to activate T38 function on my FAX to auto detect the fax and if yes then it should go to 888 for fax but it didn't work. Will try with your suggestion and see if I am able to get it work.
