3CX would be the perfect replacement for RingCentral for our business if Findme/FollowMe functionality was included.

Scenario
•Call comes in, outside caller dials "100"
•Desk phone for user Joe rings. No answer.
•Joe's house phone rings.
•Joe's wife picks up and hears a voice "Please press 1 to accept call for extension 100."
•Joe's wife hangs up.
•Joe's cell phone rings.
•Joe picks up and hears a voice "Please press 1 to accept call for extension 100."
•Joe presses 1 and says "Hello this is Joe".

If Joe had not answered....

•Cell voice mail picks up.
•Voice says "Please press any key to accept a call for extension 100". No keys pressed since it's a voice mail
•Call is routed to 3CX voicemail.

Without this feature 3CX does not currently work when dialing an external number using forwarding rules. 3CX loses control of external numbers, this should at least be shown in the GUI so as to avoid confusion.

I am not understanding how this is any different than the current "Forward with Press to Accept" option that is in place now.

It does not work is the problem. Notice how 3CX only allows forwarding rules to operate according to a certain number of seconds, not rings. Set the number of seconds to 5 or 10, it does not matter, when you call a cell phone it will ring forever, actually until the cell phone voice mail picks up, now that looks professional.

My extension does a follow-me to my cell phone and my cell phone has never once had a call reach its voicemail. For me 3CX and follow-me to my cell phone with press-to-accept works great.

What would be really helpful is another option more like Google Voice / GrandCentral -

1) A caller dials:
Extension 100 - 3 digit from inside the company
or
External DID number

2) All my phones ring at once (up to ? phones that I have registered as mine, either though SIP register, extension in 3CX or external phone)

3) I pick up one, and it says "press 1 to accept" - that's the phone that gets the call

4) If no phone picks up within ? rings, goes to voicemail

What part of that have you not been able to accomplish with 3CX? All of those features are in there today.
