FritzBox 7270 als Gateway...

Postby widem » Tue Jan 05, 2010 5:40 pm

Hallo,

How do you connect the FB with the 3CX? Do you create an IP-Phone on the FB and a VoIP-Provider on the 3CX?

9ms is a very small latency and should not be a problem.

To constitute the problem a wireshark capture is necessary.

Hello,

You are correct, i create an IP-Phone on the FB (only 1 account) then i create a generic sip account in 3CX... as proxy and sip server I put in the IP of the FB, then enter the account details wich are default 620, 621, 622 as account and password. Then i enter 2 as maximum simultanious calls not 1. Then it works like a charm, the FB calls very quickly and is able to use 2 channels over 1 sip account, very nice.

9ms doesn't seem to be a long time, but it does when calling... there is finaly in conversations a lag of almost a second... wich is very annoying. When connecting a phone directly to the FB everything is good, and no lag.

I also tried to install 3CX on another server and even tried the server connected directly on the FB (wich i din't). But ofcourse that didn't do the trick. Changing the FB or 3CX from codecs also doesn't help, everything works exept the GSM codec. In de FB at the advanced features there is logged about the times and codecs used at calls.

Hope this give you more information or if you can, try to simulate the same situation to see what i mean. I contacted AVM today and they say we don't support VoIP (even when the product has the ability). And i also called with 3CX, there the direct answer was to buy other gateway's. Very nice but those are not the kind i was searching for.

Sincerely,
Michiel

P.S. Can you tell me what to capture with WireShark...?

please capture a such a call. also try to enable the options "support re-invite" and "support replaces" for the created voip provider for the FB.

Ok, i enabled the re-invite and replaces. But that doesn't change a thing... Tomorrow i'll try to capture the information.

The reason seems unlogic why having this instead of having a SIP provider. The reason is simple, many customers i have now have a conventional phone system wich is fairly old. Those i want to upgrade with an FritzBox and 3CX... since the options for dailplans on the FB are not that big and the price for 3CX is very interesting i want to use this setup. I even have customers that only an FB is enough to be installed with some dect handsets and some IP phones on the desks.

Anyway thanks for your response again, and tomorrow (friday) i'll try to collect more data.

Thanks,
Michiel

Hello again,

I've been searching and searching to find the logic. And i've found the problem!

I had an ISDN Cisco router connected to the S0 bus for failback on the internet. Now that i removed the connection between the 2 devices, everything is working perfectly. In the logs of the Fritzbox the delay time in is not anymore 30ms but now at most 9ms... wich is very much acceptable.

Thanks for your time and help!

Sincerely,
Michiel
