On many of our customer installs we run into difficulties when it comes to user status and forwarding rules.
Let me explain a common scenario that our customers wants:
User status Action
Phone busy Forward to voice mail
DND Forward to voice mail
Away Forward to cell phone (external number)
My suggestion is to let the administrator edit and add items to a user status list and let the user choose status from the 3CX Assistant. The user status would then be shown to all users of 3CX Assistant.
The possible user statuses would then appear under Forwarding rules - Rule type to make call forwarding based on user status possible.
This would make the call forwarding function really flexible and add better presence information in the 3CX Assistant.
