inbound call disconnects after 32

Postby liptinfor » Tue Dec 27, 2011 5:28 pm

Hello,

I have a problem that my SIP inbound call disconnects after 32 sec. I do not have any issue with the outbound call but for the SIP number i have this problem.
I have talked with my SIP provider he told me that there is a problem in the 3CX cause when the call disconnect the SIP BYE message is shown.
If i am bypassing the 3CX and connect the phone directly with static ip i do not get any problem
The log is
you can see in the last the SIP BYE message.

Run the 3CX firewall checker, see if it comes up with any issues, that may require resolving, on your router.

SIP 200 messages are being sent repeatedly because the far end is probably not receiving an ACK (router setting?), then the call is dropped.

You can confirm that it is your router by either replacing it with another make (you don't say what type you are using), or by bypassing it completely, by allowing the computer running 3CX, to pick up a public IP (no NAT).

If that works then you need to work on your router. There is a possibility that there is a firewall programme at work too. Everyone's set-up is different, there is no one solution to NAT issues.

Hopefully there is someone here that is more familiar with the hardware you are using, and can offer some suggestions. It may be a very simple setting that is incorrect.

Other than that, your best be would be to contact a VoIP company/dealer in your area that supports 3CX, or perhaps a support contract, with 3CX directly.

I'm not sure if any if these troubleshooting/configuration articles are of any help.

The problem is not related to Cisco router. I can confirm that Cisco is working fine (of course if not misconfigured).
The timeout of 32 seconds is most probably a setting of your provider.

I would advise not to use STUN in your 3CX server behind a Cisco router (Cisco is supporting SIP ALG correctly and makes no sense to disable SIP ALG). You need to set port forwarding only and make sure the firewall checker is passing successfully (exit code = 0).

I've set your internal address 10.10.10.205. 'FastEthernet4' is the name of the WAN connection, could be necessary to be modified before applying the configuration to router.

Kind regards

Hi,

in my router FastEthernet4 is the WAN interface (Ethernet), depends on your model (you may have different type or number of interfaces). Also if you have set a fixed IP address (public address) to WAN interface, you may use that address too instead of the name of the interface.

If you like send me a private message with more details about your configuration, I could tell you more about.

The problem may be SIP ALG on your Cisco router. Disable SIP ALG or SIP fixup and try an inbound call again. I had a problem with a Netgear N300 with SIP ALG enabled doing the same thing. Disabling SIP ALG allowed me to make calls as normal.
