Can you not just create the 3cx user using the local admins policy script?

HomeServer, Vista-Home and XP-Home, are non supported OS.
The HomeServer is internaly a XP-Home. have a look on the MS Side, they describe it them self like it...

Hm.. Home Server based on Windows 2003 technology and positioning for SMB also. It is definitely not Windows Home.

I too have this same problem with the Skype gateway on my Windows Home Server.
Has anyone come up with a solution yet?

Hello,

the supported systems are XP Pro, 2003, 2003R2, Vista Pro and above, 2008, SBS 2003 and 2008, Windows 7.
All versions in x86 or x64. A test for 2008R2 has been done but due to its still RC... on ur own risk

Non support is given for: XP Home, Vista Home, Home Server

AS well the Skypegate way does not run on a server with AD installed and Virtual environment like Vmware ESX and Hyper V.

Thank you for the update Stefan.
If, as you say, Windows Server 2003 and SBS 2003 are supported, then why isn't Home server?
Home Server is just a modified version of Windows Server 2003 with SP2 with some added features and some enforced limitations.
It cannot be a Domain Controller, in fact it can't even join a domain.
So why wouldn't it be supported?
Because you still think it's built on XP Home like you said in your previous post? You are simply wrong.

Hi clive

The answer is simple: to release something - no matter is a TV, a car or a Skype gateway - it should pass some tests, in certain environments. Until these tests are not sucessfuly passed, that "something" cannot be recommended as supporting a specific working environment. This is the case of Gateway and Home Server.

However, I would like to see the gateway's monitor tracelog (File/Tracelog). Edit there the Skype accounts you used to protect your privacy, then send it to me or copy-paste it here.

Thank you for the reply Vali.

I'm afraid I've decided to use another company's product to solve the problem, so if anyone else needs this sorted then maybe you could provide Vali with the data he needs. Or maybe 3CX could stick it's hand in the company pocket and buy their own copy of the software...they could look at it as a training aid so that their staff actually know that WHS is based on Server 2003 and not some kind of "Home" version of a desktop OS. I know that as a possible future 3CX customer that would inspire more confidence in me than I have gotten from reading the 3CX input to this thread.

Clive, can you tell me that product? As a developer, I'm interested to study other software solving a problem mine has.
Many thanks also
