I would like to request mac support for 3cx assistant. Currently I am unaware of any assistant that can run on Mac. Being able to have 3cx run in a mixed environment would be wonderful!

I agree with t4mack, it would be nice in mixed environments for there to be a mac version of 3CX assistant, as well as an added bonus one that integrates with Entourage for calling and contact pop-up. There are plenty of good SIP phones for the MAC but the ability to see who is available, who is on the phone and use the Chat features that the Assistant brings is important to some companies.

One of my customers has 10 PC users and 2 Mac users. They make extensive use of the 3CX assistant to see who is online and who is on the phone (some users are remote in different countries) and toggle available/away status. They use 3cx assistant chat as well.

The two Mac users to not feel left out both installed Parallels (an application that lets them run Windows Apps along Mac at the same time) and run Outlook and 3CX Assistant. They use a Mac based sip client though because running the 3CX Phone under Parallels doesn't work so well (not to surprising).

The above solution works well on the newer macs but it is expensive to pay for parallels, windows and outlook (customer already has office mac 08).
