Make a Call direct from HTTP call

Postby ansu2723 » Wed Jan 14, 2009 7:56 pm

If I call the number 123456 with the HTTP Make Call isnt it supposed to say that number in the phone log? Now it sais MAKECALL.

This must be a bug. Please correct it. It is very hard to remember what calls you have made when it always sais MAKECALL.

Make a Call direct from HTTP call

This command allows you to trigger a call via a HTTP request to the 3CX Server. The callers extension will ring and will then connect you to the destination number provided.

Hi,

I'm ready to discuss this "bug".

The call is triggered on PBX than use PBX call log, it will provide correct information. I just joking :)
Now seriously, what is the phone(device) you are using? What should be specified by PBX to force your phone to put incoming call (made from PBX to your phone) as outgoing call from your phone to destination which was specified in HTTP request?

Thanks
P.S. Here is no any sarcasm. this problem is, in my humble opinion, the common problem of SIP implementations...

Well I have solved the problem by writing a program that replaces the MAKECALL when it appears with the correct number instead. I also made a program that reads the log file and uses this i nformation in our system to charge our customers for phone support.

But it would be nice tho have this function (converting makecall) in the 3cx instead.

Would you be willing to share? im struggling to find a workaround. Im pretty new to this and after installing our new crm and now using makecall, the call recording folder is pointless as it dosent contain the customers phone number :(

i agree that this is actually a problem in the reporting and call recording parts of 3cx
