Night Switch or dial code to turn on after office hours

Hello,

My clients used to have a night switch facility on their old key phone system that they could set outside office hours mode (night switch) manually.

This was important to allow a range of staff to set night switch mode. The staff have a wide range of skills so it needs to be simple for non-technical staff.

It is surprising that 3CX does not offer this as most phone systems provide this.

Some settings can be made by the Management console, but this complicated and we do not want all users to have access to the Management console.

I see there are many requests for this feature.

How to we arrange to get basic features missing from 3CX to be added in a timely manner?

You can configure the do not disturb options for each extension. That way when they leave they just press the DND icon on the phone.

- In V9 there will be a special dialcode to control the office hours of the entire PBX
- There will also be the option to set different office hours per extension
- You will also be able to change your status through 999 / Voicemail

Hi,

To switch to day night mode .... -> to solve this issue and to let it work like the OLD PBXes another option would be also very handy if you are working with Queues or Ring Groups to receive incoming calls.
If 3CX adds to queues and ring groups the possibility to disable a queue or ring group .... you can turn on/off the voicemial by disabling the queue or ring group where the inbound calls are sent to.
This means that when the queue/ring group is disabled, where the incoming call is routed to, the voicemail will take immediately the incoming call.
You switch the night mode (voicemail) of by enabling the specific queue/ring group.

This will require an extra feature via webinterface, phone or API to enable/disable the queue or ring group.

Thanks for posting V9 Beta. Looks like a great set of new features.

I was looking for the following features that may have been added for V9. Can you advise if they are included?


- In V9 there will be a special dialcode to control the office hours of the entire PBX
- There will also be the option to set different office hours per extension
- You will also be able to change your status through 999 / Voicemail
