Number of "Lines"

Postby Offshore » Thu May 20, 2010 2:53 pm

Good Afternoon,

I'm just wondering if someone can help, I'm looking to implement a 3CX system but when it comes to handsets i think I'm getting a little muddled up, with any IP phone there is always a reference to the amount of "Lines" but I'm not 100% sure what this exactly refers too. I apologies as this is somewhat basic questions, but If someone could fill me i would be most grateful

Many thanks

Matt

The lines on the VoIP phones are configured for 3CX for extensions. With 3CX provisioning it will provision line 1 to be the extension you configure for the phone. They can also be manually be configured for additional extensions or to talk directly to a 3rd party SIP service.
