Polycom BLF

Postby vapilot75 » Thu Oct 15, 2009 1:01 pm

While the new Polycom BLF works great, it would be helpful if the template could be modified to specify the name (as in 3CX) for the extension label on the phone, rather than the extension number. I also use these buttons as speed dials, and I tend to forget which extension is which person. If I could simply modify the template along the likes of:
attendant.resourceList.1.label="%%blf1.name%%"
instead of
attendant.resourceList.1.label="%%blf1%%"

It would be great.

Thanks,

Brandon

Seconded :-).

Users enjoy the BLF, but miss the names that were previously listed.

+1 from me too - This is an absolute must for reception users who have multiple sidecars installed - it's not easy to remember 48+ extensions and who they belong too.

I very much agree. We have receptionists in 7 different offices with Polycoms and side cars. Each phone will monitor 42 extensions each and that's too many numbers to remember. Even if you do remember them it's not fast to glance at as names would be.
