We've had a request for a "random call group". The customer would like the phones to ring randomly for their "reception" calls, before being sent out to an external number after a set time.
The call group will only either ring in order or ring all. The only 2 alternatives we've come up with are:
A nested call group: 2 or 3 phone ring before going to another group and so on and then finally the external number. It's not really random but better than nothing.
A call queue: We can create a call queue that uses the random start hunt. Unfortunately they already have a call queue and sometimes would like to be signed into one or the other. As far as I can tell you can only sign into all or none. Perhaps make a toggle in the queues section of the 3CX assistant that allows you to sign in and out of specific call queues independently?
If anyone can think of a better work around please let me know.
