Bonjour,
Upgrading from a previous version of 3CX Phone System It is possible to upgrade a 3CX Phone System 6.1 installation to version 7 as follows:
1. Before uninstalling version 6.1, backup your current configuration using the backup and restore tool located in the 3CX program group.
2. Uninstall version 6 using Add/Remove programs.
3. Install 3CX Phone System v7 and run the configuration wizard.
4. Restore your version 6 configuration using the backup and restore tool located in the 3CX program group.
5. If you are using IIS (recommended), after the upgrade you must go into each extension and click ‘save’. This will recreate the provisioning file, which needs to be updated because the URL changed. Also you will need to URL to the provisioning server in each phone. You can either do this manually for each phone according to the configuration guide, or automatically using ‘option 66’ in your DHCP server. See this URL for a configuration guide
http://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/DHCP-option-66.htmlNote: DIDs & bridges created in version v6 are not restored in v7.
These need to be re-created. Upgrades of version 3.1, 5, 6.0 configurations are not supported.
In these cases, make a backup of your old configuration. Install v6.1 on to a separate machine, do a restore it and then a backup. Then restore that 6.1 backup to v7.
Upgrades from any V7 BETA version are not supported
