setup advice

Postby tazpro » Tue Sep 23, 2008 2:42 am

Hi, I am new to 3cx and need some help. I purchased the following:
6 Grandstream GXP-2000 phones
1 Grandstream GXW 4140 (4 port analog gateway)

I have 2 telecom providers - One provides 2 PSTN lines in port 1 and 2 of the gateway and the other provides 1 line into port 3. Port 4 is not used

in order to get an outside line i.e. to make an external call staff should either press 9 for provider 1 followed by the number to be called or 8 for provider 2 followed by the number to be called.

Futher to this I want to be able to have an internal extension forward to a specific phone number on provider 2 e.g. if I transfer to ext 500 it would in effect go to 8, 221-9999

Please advise. I am not sure how to set this up and any help would be appreciated.

Jason...

in Destination Unreachable / Forwarding
choose Forward All Calls tab

That is what I want to do - I want to be able to decide what provider to use primarily for rate savings.

Hello,
in channels tab
2. Prefix to Specify Port(1 stage dialing method):99

you dial outbound rule then 99 then your channel (1:4) then your dialed number
you can also make your dial rules prefix
991 for line 1
992 for line 2
993 for line 3
994 for line 4
