Snom 300 Issues..

Postby sheraz_uk » Mon Dec 13, 2010 5:08 pm

Hi,

We are on 3CX v9 SP5. Snom 300 Latest firmware.

1) On the Snom 300's i wish to program the Redial key so that it dials *20* when pressed. (*20* in 3CX allows picking up a ringing phone). I have tried via the Web GUI/Function Keys to select DTMF and entering *20* in the last box but this does not work.

2) On a couple of snom 300's (we only have 4 handsets) their is a few seconds delay in every function of the phone from waiting for a dial tone to viewing missed calls.. for example if you press on the speaker button it will take 3-5 seconds delay before you actually hear any dial tone. This problem does disappear once you reboot the phone but am having to do this manually every day.

3) Digital Receptionist has been set-up.. their are a few numbers stored on the snom 300 handset.. on incoming calls only the number is recognised (and the callers name is displayed) when a person selects Option 1 (ring group A), when Option 3 is selected (ring group C) the caller name is not displayed but rather the name of the ring group.

Please can anyone help on any of the above.

Thanks, Sheraz

If the phone is automatically provisioned by 3CX and the BLF lamps are set within the provisioning tab of the 3CX extension and so longs all extensions are members of the same group, you will be able to press the button next to the flashing light on the phone to answer the call.

Just setup a Snom 300 and all works fine this way.

or within the Key Settings Menu

set one of the P1 to P6 to Active and then the next field set to BLF and then set the next box to *20*
save and that will do the job

Make sure you have the latest SNOM 3x0 provisioning template from 3CX, running the latest phone firmware v8.4.18 and re-provisioning your phones. Now check if “Use Flash Plugin:” is off. (Setup>>Preferences>>General Information)
This should remove the delay.
