I've tried 2 SMTP servers I have access to, and neither seems to be getting any email...
I'll be checking the logs on the mail server next, but is there any place I can look within the 3CX server for indications there are problems?

I was baffled by an outgoing SMTP mail problem (my 3cx server sending out voicemail messages) until I finally realised the SMTP errors were being caused by my computer name (3cx_server) in the SMTP HELO message being rejected. Apparently underscores are not permitted, changing to a hypen fixed it!
