There are attached few snapshots about system resources required by a 30-ports 3CX Gateway for Skype 2.0.
- Test has been done on a notebook having installed Win XP SP2, Intel processor 1.83GHz, 2GHz RAM, no pagefile.
- At the test time, alongside gateway a PBX 8.0 with Cassini server was running, the Outlook Express and a Media Player.
- The memory already taken when gateway has been started was ~600MB.
- Each gateway port (Skype + gateway) requires ~40MB (see the processes list) therefore an overall 1200MB.
- CPU is most overloaded during gateway startup process, due to Skype client initialization. However, sequential start and multiprocessor support allowed PBX and Media Player to don't struggle with UI responding and audio quality (CPU usage average 45%, peaks of 70%)
- Once all 30 ports were started, CPU usage become the common one, 0-4%.
- When gateway service has been stopped, memory consumption dropped back to ~600MB.
