Transfers failing to external number from external line

Postby alexmex » Thu Jun 19, 2008 10:28 pm

Hi all, I´m using 3CX connected to Mitel switch via SIP trunks and it is working beautiful the scenario is I receive a call from Mitel ISDN lines and then the call is forwarded to 3CX via SIP trunk then the automatic recepcionist answers and if an extension is always forwarded to an external destination, it should go back to MItel and dial the number using MItel lines. It works fine if I call the extension from 3CX extension but from an external line it doesn't. Watching teh logs when I call from the 3CX extension it dials 3005@19.199.1.20 (3CX ip add) but externally it shows 3005@127.0.0.1. The bottom one is the external (unsuccesful) and the top one is internally but still using MItel. I hope it is clear and if you have any clue why is it doing this will be very appreciated.

Thanks
Alex

It had something to do with the outbond options but it was weird because I have a general and I had to create a new rule for this kind of transfers.
Thanks anyway

I've deleted my previous question, sorry for confusing.

What version of PBX are you using?
Is outbound rule configured to be used with specific list of extensions?

Hey alex. Im looking at similar scenario to this. So....you are connecting the ICP 3300 to 3CX as a generic SIP trunk, correct? How hard was the config on the mitel side?

Also, does extension dialing work back and forth between extensions on the mitel and extension onthe 3cx?

Thanks.
