Using two Voip providers with one number

Postby gateway978 » Sat Jan 21, 2012 11:19 pm

Hi,

Fairly new to 3CX, having moved from Trixbox.

I'm setting it up, and I'm getting along fairly well, but I've hit an issue.

My calling plan for outgoing calls is with VoipTalk
My phone number is with AQL, and they've sorted that with VoipTalk at their ends.

The problem is incoming calls. Because AQL isn't supported by 3CX, I can't find a way to route it through so that when my phone number is dialed, it rings.

Any suggestions on this? I've managed to get outgoing caller ID alright, it's just incoming.

Thanks,

Ryan

Who told you it isn't supported, someone at 3CX, someone at AQL?

Many times, when companies say something "isn't supported", it just means that you won't get any help from them in setting it up to work, you are on your own. It doesn't always mean that it won't work, just that you may pull out some hair getting it to.

Are they SIP?
Did you set up a generic trunk group?
Do you see any incoming attempts in the 3CX log?
