Verbose logging

Postby brittmer » Tue Feb 16, 2010 5:02 pm

I would like to see the option of being able to turn Verbose Logging on and off without having to reboot the system. Our phone system needs to stay up during business hours.

Thanks.

This is as serious limitation to troubleshooting as the last thing you need to tell a client is, that in order to troubleshoot their problem further you need to reboot their system!

We have resorted to leaving verbose logging on by default on all client installs for now

Hi,

It is not possible to enable verbose logging without a restart of the services.
The best thing to do is just leave Verbose logging on from the beginning, it doesnt affect your system in any way.

We can enable verbose logging to be on by default when installing the PBX. That can be done.
But to just enable verbose logging on the fly is not possible. There is a way for us to do it, but it is not reccomended.

Though in a later future version there's the possibility that we might focus on such a module / feature to enable on the fly verbose logging, but at the moment nothing is planned and this is considered as low priority compared to what is being done at the moment.
