Voicemail notification

Postby David_nz » Thu Oct 02, 2008 5:59 am

Hi All,

I am using SPA922 phones with the 3CX phone system - so far all is working well (sip providor issues not withstanding!) but I have noticed that the message waiting light on the phones does not come on when there is a new message waiting - is there something I need to do to enable this? If I turn it on, the email notifaction works well, but for some of my users the light would be a better bet.

Thanks in advance.

Hi David,

First off with VOIP providers, if youre in NZ try out 2talk.co.nz , Ive tested them out & we have a template to use for setting them up on wiki.3cx.com under VOIP Providers.

With the SPA922, I dont believe Linksys BLF works well with 3CX which may also relate to Voicemail notification as this is similar. When setting up Voicemail on any phone ensure it uses the Voicemail number 999, Asterisk use *97 & I find this is the default on a lot of phones that need to be changed to 999 for 3CX.
