I have found another one - which may be better in terms of flexibility and bandwidth. They offer router solutions as well, so that you can connect your 3CX to say a US or UK public static IP address, without having to mess around with dial-up VPNs.

http://strongvpn.com/

http://strongvpn.com/routers.shtml They have several supported router solutions.

I wish you the best of luck in sorting this out.

Kind regards

Several of the replies are highly inaccurate. The remote end of your VPN does NOT need to have the same router, you do not need to proxy anything.
Keep it simnple. Find an ISP that offers SIP trunk service over VPN (Standard - NO NAT , NO ALG) and you are all set. Just setup PBX delivers audio. a sinple PPTP or L2TP without complression will work. Best yet, see if they can support iLBC. This is how we are setup to offer SIP trunking.

Using a cloud service to host 3CX? A friend, family member or business associate's location out of the country?
Or having a second off site server and bridging the two with the tunnel?

You could also have an out of country proxy set up using something like a MikroTik router, (the MikroTik would be out of country) I just set up 3 MikroTik's for the first time, they seem to be very robust in features, including port forwarding, in or out. You could go with an inexpensive RouterBoard or put their RouterOS on a PC.

Recipe for disaster... once you tunnel him here, you will send him out the local NAT?

while setting up the voip provider, in the advanced settings, i have seen an option to register the provider via 3 ways.
which ip to use in "contact" field for registration: stun, specified ip or internal.
if i have two network adapters, can i push the registration through the specific ip address.
by that i will be able to connect one adapter to a vpn server to route my traffic out of blocked area and therefore register my voip provider for incoming and outgoing calls while the other adapter is not tunneled and used to connect my extensions as normal.

Hello,
What you need to do is to find out the range or ranges of IP addresses that your VOIP provider uses. Then, use static routing to route through the Ethernet interface allocated for the VPN.

The Ethernet interface should only have the IP address itself, subnet mask and DNS. No gateway. Add your persistent routes using the route add command. Check them all using the route print command. See http://www.microsoft.com/resources/docu ... x?mfr=true to learn about setting static routes in Windows.

Kind regards

Well, When using USA VPN services it will appear as if you're elsewhere in the world. As checking for the voip as blocked by isp is the main issue for the support. There are online service providers who provides the better services as mainly for the USA VPN users.
