As it is virtually impossible to register an extension from a generic Sip client running on a PocketPC connected through 3G or HSDPA.

I would like to suggest a small application that would function as a sip tunnel proxy for the pocketPC phone.

The proxy would connect connect the tunnel to the server, and the generic sip client would only have to connect to the Sip Tunnel Proxy manager running on the phone itself.

I tried many times to connect an extension from a HSDPA Windows Mobile phone directly to the 3CX server, but NAT always gets in the way.. VPN works, but is too complicated...

Can you imagine how much better it would be for this functionality, you would really be able to have a mobile phone as an extension then. I have tried several voip apps on several different windows mobile devices and only had very limited success but the windows standard 3cx softphone works like a treat, so how about porting that with the tunnel functionality to windows mobile.

I for one know several customers who I could sell 3cx to just on that functionality alone.

Having to use Skype client on Win. mobile (via Fring), into 3CX skype gateway - so can't really act like an extension.

The problem, that Windows Mobile 6.X is platform with no future. I noticed that there is no announces of new interesting software for this platform. Even Skype discontinued to support it.

So we have to wait for something new from Microsoft, unfortunately.
