Working with Prompts

Postby ramonbatista » Thu Apr 29, 2010 3:09 pm

Hi,
I have in my 3CX System two prompts (English & Spanish).
I will like 3CX can do the follow job :

"Hi, wellcome to X Company. Press 1 to continue in English. Press 2 to continue in Spanish"

And when Press 1, then the user only use the English Prompts, or if the user press 2, then he/she will be using the Spanish Prompts.

Thanks

You would need to create a digital receptionist for each prompt. And then assign the number to the digital receptionist.

Thanks Matt

But I think that could be a good challenge for 3CX to do that, because if you dial to a PBX's Bank you can notice that. When the IVR ask you which language you prefer, then you keep listening the prompts in the language selected.
Will be interesting if that can be done with 3CX

T4 is right, create another digital receptionist and create a recording in spanish and have first receptionist option 1 point to an english receptionist, and 2 point to spanish receptionist.
main menu -> digital receptionist
then add new receptionist. select what keys go to where (the same as your english one one) and your good to go.
so in total, you will have 3 receptionists, a main one that only has 2 options, and an english one and a spanish one, both of which have the same options, only in different languages

Thank you for that help !!

For the moment it helps me, But think on this.
If the default Prompts is English and the first menu is as follow :
"Welcome to X Company... Press 1 to continue in English, press 2 to continue in Spanish"
Then I think if a user press 2 for Spanish, then the 3rd Menu will come in Spanish, "Por favor digite el numero de extension".
And when the user dial the extension number, I think this will be the next prompt "Please hold while the extension is reached". And in this point what I will like to hear is "Por favor espere mientras transferimos su llamada"

With that I want to say that with 3 Menus I can work, but still the prompts will keep with the default prompts in the 3CX System. All that I will like is that automatically all the prompts change from Spanish to English or from English to Spanish to be completely in the same language as it was selected in the first menu.

But, again, thanks for your helps

ok, I now understand what you need done. Hmm. well, one thing you could do is modify the system prompts to have both languages, but then regardless of what language menu you are listening to, you will get a system prompt with both languages.
Sorry.

Thanks anyway...

But what I think 3CX Teams can do is as follow :
something like everytime you use a Digital Recepcionist, then ask which Prompt Language you want to use.

I think that can not be too dificult.
I mean, a DropDown Menu or something like that with the Languages Options to use when that Digital Recepcionist is in use.
Then, at the time any prompt will be playing then look for the selected language and play the prompt in that language.

What do you think ? :P

Yes that would be nice. You should post that in feature requests. As for my earlier post. When a call comes in you to the digital receptionists says press 1 for english 2 for spanish. You would have a digital receptionists assigned to the number one and another assigned to the number two. So far you know have a total of 3 digital receptionists.
