Applicable to Polycom VVX 101, 201, 300, 301, 311, 400, 401, 410, 411, 500, 501, 600 & 601

Follow the steps below to change a Polycom VVX from Lync or Skype for Business to Open Standards SIP. This must be done before provisioning your Polycom VVX phone.

Change Base Profile

The quickest way to change the Polycom VVX from Lync mode is:

  • On the Idle Screen

  • Press and hold on the keypad 1, 4 and 9 simultaneously

  • Once prompted for the password enter the default password 456 or the web password of the extension which can be taken from the 3CX management console.

  • Switch from Lync to Generic to enter the SIP mode, the phone will directly reboot and returns in SIP mode.
