How do I install the Microsoft Windows XP fax client?

  1. Go to Printers & Faxes, and select Add Printer.

  2. Select 'Network printer'.

  3. Enter hostname of machine which you have installed Microsoft Fax servers, followed by fax, e.g. <servername>/fax. Be sure to specify the machine running Microsoft Fax, not the machine running 3CX Phone System. This could be on the same machine but need not be.
  4. Select whether you want to make it the default printer.
  5. Click Finish. Printer driver is now installed.
  6. To send a fax, print to this new fax printer or select File > Send To > Recipient using a Fax Modem.
