How do I Connect a Vegastream 50 Europa (2 x BRI-port) to the Network and import the configuration?

This FAQ explains how to configure your Vegastream Gateway for the first time by connecting it to the network, discovering its IP Address and then configuring the network settings. You will then be able to import the configuration to it.

Please note that these instructions are confirmed for Firmware version: 13.02.08.2 S030 R8.2

Step 1: Connect the device to the network

Plug in the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port (LAN 1).

Step 2: Discover the device

Use the management interface of your DHCP server to find the IP address assigned to the device. The screenshot below shows a typical DHCP table showing the MAC addresses relevant to the ports and what IP they have obtained.

Step 3: Import the 3CX Template into the Gateway

  1. Browse to the web interface of the Gateway (e.g. http://172.18.130.4) and login. The default credentials are:

    User: admin
    Pass: admin

  2. Click on System

     
  3. Click Browse… next to “Send File to Gateway”, and select the configuration file generated by 3CX Phone System.
  4. Click Upload

  5. Now you will need to “Reload” the device. Click the “Reload” button to apply the uploaded configuration to the Vegastream Europa 50 and restart the device.
