IMPORTANT This guide has been tested with the latest Audiocodes firmware at 30 January 2008, version 5.20A.022.002

Introduction
The MP114 provides a web-based management interface for configuration.

Step 1 – Logging in to the device and entering configuration mode

Logging into the device is achieved via a web browser.

Connect a straight-through cable from your computer to a small switch (4-port will do) which will be used only for initial configuration of the MP114. Also connect the device port labeled “Ethernet” to another port on the switch, and configure the computer’s network interface with static parameters:

  1. Go to Start -> Settings -> Network Connections

  2. Right click on your network interface and click “Properties” on the shortcut menu.

  3. In the list box labeled “This connection uses the following items:”, scroll down and highlight the item “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)”, and click the “Properties” button.

  4. Ensure that the options “Use the following IP address” is selected. For IP address enter “10.1.10.100”; for “Subnet Mask”, enter “255.255.255.0”; The fields labeled “Default Gateway”, “Preferred DNS server”, and “Alternate DNS server” should be left blank. This will permit connection to the device’s default IP address, “10.1.10.11”.
  5. Start a browser of your choice and in the address bar type http://10.1.10.11. The default username for this device is “Admin”. The default password is “Admin”.

  6. Click on the “Quick Setup” link on the left hand side.

  7. From this point onwards, we will assume that the IP Address of the 3CX PBX Server on the network is 10.172.0.2, the IP Address of the device will be 10.172.0.207, the IP Address of the default gateway and DNS Server for the subnet is 10.172.0.1, and the address of the computer used to configure the device will be 10.172.0.124.
    a. In the “IP Configuration” section, set the IP Address for the device to “10.172.0.207”.
    b. Leave the “NAT IP Address” default – “0.0.0.0”.
    c. Set the “Subnet Mask” to “255.255.255.0”.
    d. Set the “Default Gateway Address” to “10.172.0.1”.
    e. In the “SIP Parameters” section, set “Gateway Name” to “10.172.0.207”.
    f. Set the “Working with Proxy” field to “Yes”.
    g. Set the fields labeled “Proxy IP Address” and “Proxy Name” to “10.172.0.2”.
    h. Set the “Enable Registration” field to “Enable”.
  8. At this stage the device will immediately take on it’s newly configured IP Address. Now disconnect the device’s “Ethernet” port from the switch, and reconnect it to the network. Also disconnect the computer from the switch and reconnect the computer to the network. The computer’s network interface must be reconfigured as in Step 1, this time with an IP address appropriate for the network. If there is a DHCP Server on the network serving the 10.172.0.x subnet, you can go to Step 3.8.
  9. If there is no DHCP Server on the network serving the 10.172.0.x subnet, repeat Steps 1.1 to 1.4.

  10. Set the IP address to “10.172.0.124”, the Subnet mask to “255.255.255.0”, the Default gateway to “10.172.0.1”, and the Preferred DNS Server to “10.172.0.1”. Click on the “OK” button.
