Multiple locations for timezones and holidays

With more customers using hosted infrastructure, we are getting more requirements to run systems across states and countries, which means multiple timezones and different holidays.

At a minimum the ability to link extensions, trunks and inbound rules with timezones would be ideal. By adding a location table and assigning these to critical areas, with timezones and holidays, future additions that are location based would be easy to accomplish.

I'm running into a problem now where I need to be able to set time conditions (holidays, business hours, etc.) to an IVR tree that is unique to a specific site.

I currently have 5 sites (in two countries) that home run back to 1 3CX PBX; all with their own unique business hours and IVR Tree.

This was a feature in Elastix that should be brought back in 3CX.

I agree. We have clients with a number of remote locations (and countries) with 1-2 staff in each. That does not warrant another whole PBX.
Being able to set this would make the 3CX product more salable.
Having the ability to set hours buy location, phone books by department etc. is very usefull.

The more installations of 3CX we put in, gives more money in 3CX pockets!

Need the same thing right now for a client which has offices in 3 countries and they want each country's set of holiday prompts to connect to its own IVR therefore need multiple "HOL IVRs".

I'm also in need for this feature. Current setup:
SIP Trunks in 2 countries with different set of public holidays.

3CX CFD may able to do this i think

I am sure it can, but this is quite a basic feature now given that there are so many "cloud" PBXs being setup. It would be nice to be able to just use the normal features, but be timezone aware.

Looked at CFD and it could be possible but I wouldn't say it's going to be easy. I've spent a few hours and the complexity I have to build into there seems a bit overkill... Get's complicated once you have to deal with different time zones that switch to daylight savings on different dates etc.
At this stage, it looks easier to set up complete separate 3CX instances in the cloud and run three of them side by side. But then again - I shouldn't have to for two locations that have just 1 extension each.

A good and I think relatively easy workaround at least until something more comprehensive can be done would be to add a timezone field to the dialog where you put in specific office hours in inbound routes, trunk groups, etc.

Our company has developed the Add Schedule. That solves the problem of individual opening hours. See more on the link here or call us.
