I have a Linksys SPA3000 does anyone have instructions for setting this up with 3CX or am I better buying one of the supported gateways. Thanks in advcance

I can help you set it up. Hopefully it is on the same LAN as the 3CX Server. Running it remotely can be a bit tricky.
First thing to do, a factory reset, especially if it has been used previously, then assign it a static IP.

That would be great thanks . Its on the same lan

The SPA3000 and SPA3102 are very similar. many of the menus are the same, or have a few addition/features in the 3102. You want to be in the Admin/Advanced menu in the 3K (selected in the upper right)

Create a PSTN trunk in 3CX, use the IP that you assigned to the 3K, along with port 5062, which should be the default used for the PSTN Line in the gateway.

Then have a read through this...

It should get you started. If you hit a wall, post the PSTN tab from the 3K and I'll have a look at it. Check the 3CX Activity Log too, that will tell what 3CX is seeing come from the 3K.

Where Leejor has provided excellent notes in supporting your gateway setup, I would always say for a better install and user experience to go supported. I use Patton personally.

When given a choice, of course, it's always best to go with a supported device. Sometimes you just want to work with what you have on hand, rather than spending money on something you don't really need. For a single line, PSTN Gateway, unfortunately the choices are rather limited nowadays, but, there are still a lot of SPA3000 and 3102s still floating around, and they get the job done.

Yes agreed for single FXO you have very little choice especially in the "supported" range Patton 4112 JO or beronet single FXO card are the smallest ones in the range I am familiar with (2 FXO) and neither is very cost effective when compared against the likes of Grandstream.

Those Khomp gateways that were supported have been removed off the list as well I noticed.
