We would like to configure the following scenario :

All incoming calls rings one extension. If the extension is already in use, the call is forwarded to a ring group composed of all the other extensions. If nobody answers, then the call is forwarded to the voicemail of the receptionist.

They would like to have a missed call notification on the receptionist's extension but no missed call on the rest of the group.

Is this possible :-/ ?

I do not think you can turn off missed call notifications.
But they would have the group name attached to it if not found in any phonebook.
So atleast they would know it was from a group.

If someone in the ring group had answered the call, then it should not show as a missed call on the other member sets. The fact that no one took the call, and it timed out to a final destination causes the missed call notification.

If you are dealing with Hard Phones, then this may not be true. Most Hard Phones (IP Phones) treat a 407 cancel as a missed call, so every handset would show the missed call, except the one that answered the call.

Maybe this can be done in a queue and have people q out?

It's the local phone issue - PBX isn't the problem, the local phone just doesn't have all the information

Thank you all for your input.

They could live with the fact that all the extensions, except the receptionist, have a missed call but seeing it coming from the group.

The real issue is that the receptionist doesn't see the missed call because it was logically forwarded. One alternative would be to include her in the group, so she would also have the missed call notification, but her phone would also ring while she is already in another call. Any idea ?

Probably depends on the set, but, you could add a second extension (part of the ring group) to the set. Program that line key to "not ring" (only flash).

Sadly, it's a yealink W52.

Is there a way for the receptionnist to see all the incoming calls ? A kind of "manager view", but only for her number (extension).

Hello @smartek

The receptionist should get a missed call notification for the call even if the call was forwarded to the ring group as long as the call rang the extension. It also does not matter if the call was later answered or not. Try using a 3CX client and see if you are receiving a missed call there
