3CX Call Logs - Sharing this information

Hi,

We have a need to share the call logs with a number of staff in in our business so that staff can find out who phoned a particular number. Currently the only person that can do this is the administrator or anyone that has been given the right to access the 3CX Admin. The only problem we have is that when giving extensions access to the 3CX Admin panel it appears to give them access to listen to call recordings which we dont want. Whats the best way to have staff be able to search the call logs please? Can anyone help

I have noticed this functionality aswell. it doesnt appear to work (not sure if a bug).

No matter whether that "Allow downloads of call recordings" is checked or not it doesn't appear to make any difference. They are always able to download call recordings no matter what the setting is set to there.

Any help?

Hello @MHA

If you only need users to be able to run reports without call recordings then you should not provider them with access to other extensions. Provide them only with access to their extension and the right to run reports. The right "Allow downloads of call recordings" is under the right "Generate call reports".

This will allow users to run reports and they will not be able to see call recordings.
 
We want to give them access to call logs so that they can easily type in a number and see what extension called it without them being given the freedom to run reports on colleague's stats etc.

You cannot give access to the call log to users without giving them general access to the management console. When doing that then users can access recordings. I would recommend posting this as a feature request to our ideas section of the forum https://www.3cx.com/community/forums/3cx-ideas/ . All posts are reviewed by their corresponding Departments and, if feasible and voted for by other users as well, may be implemented in an upcoming service pack or update.
