Hello guys
We just deployed a new install. But we are unable to deliver.
The setup:
Cloud based 3CX
Client has dedicated fiber
Router is a Ubiquiti USG Conntrack SIP Disabled
We deployed a Debian SBC on their VM server.

Phones show registered, one call goes in, lasts for about 3 secs, and drops.
Latest firmware on the fanvils.

This has never happened before on any other deployment the only difference here is we are not using a Pi Based SBC, we used their VM setup for the sbc since its around 60 extensions.

Could the issue be the vm hosting the SBC?

any other pointers all greatly appreciated

It doesn't matter if you have SIP ALG enabled or disabled if you are using a SBC since the SIP traffic is tunneled. Yes it could be the SBC, it could be lots of things. What do the 3CX logs show? Can you call out ok?

Check sufficient resources have been allocated to the VM and, in particular, check how the processor usage graph looks.

Some VM configs on esxi have problems with the vNIC and exhibit this through high processor use (it's to do with processor offloading). This is easily fixable but you need to know if that's the problem first.

If that doesn't show anything it would be pretty easy to eliminate the SBC as the source by spinning up another SBC on a physical machine and seeing if the problem goes away.

edit: Or even installing SBC on an existing Windows machine.

We found several issues,
1st somehow the new install updated to 16.00, we are solling back to stable 15.5.
2nd we are doing as Lee suggested, we are sending a piSBC to test. I suspect something related to the vNIC too.
thanks for the suggestions, all helpful when in crisis.

Just as an update. We are not sure, but apparently the upgrade to 16 alpha broke the whole thing.
We exported the ext list, re installed the OS and PBX from scratch, imported the exts, and test one went well. Tomorrow we´ll try on site.

Sounds promising.

Not sure how you ended up with 16 alpha!
