We have 3 separate clinics. We tried 3cx at one with an onsite PBX and like it. We are looking at moving our pbx to the cloud so that all offices can point to the same one. Are SBC's the way to go, or create a vpn tunnel to each location from our cloud server?

Can you have more than one SBC in a location? We have more than 50 extensions in some offices which worries me.

Thanks!

Yes you can have more than one SBC although if VPN (routed, no NAT) is an option that is a better one as it will let you provision the phones as Local LAN and potentially use legacy phones that don't support STUN/SBC.

Hello @Logan Nordly

You could use multiple SBCs per location but i would also agree that VPN would be a better option. Extensions would be provisioned as local and you will have the option to add gateways if needed.

as above, vpn solution is the better option - this of course depends on the speed of the internet links at each location as all traffic between the handsets and 3CX will be going up and down this link.

More calls more bandwidth is required.
