    I looked into VoipTools and a couple of others. Complete non-starter when they cost multiples of the 3cx license. I expect their costs are quite reasonable for a busy call center. They're not reasonable for a customer whose 3cx license cost a couple hundred bucks. Just not a practical option...

    Chrome just can't handle having a ton of tabs open at once. That was a 3cx webclient tab. Customers aren't going to tolerate missing calls or having them dropped regularly. I really hope 3cx reconsiders the direction they're heading.

    I think end users would prefer "magic", like detecting nearby bluetooth. But I like hearing that the status changes might control it in the future. I prefer "manual" because "magic" is often flaky ;) Manual means they're less likely to call me asking why "it's broken".
